Citation/Bibliography/Reference Format - Trial One

What does it mean to cite?

You need to give credit to the places where you got your information or ideas. Otherwise, someone can accuse you of plagiarism (stealing ideas and pretending they're yours.) Here's a short example of an in-text citation and a reference at the end of a paper.

Social influence is a very important part of human existence. Some argue that the mere presence of other people is a form of social influence, because we behave differently when other people are around (Allport, 1985).
